Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients:

– 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, chopped
– 1 large egg
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 680 g marinara sauce
– 340 g spaghetti
– Add grated Parmesan and fresh basil for garnish

Preparation:

1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Form 2.5 cm meatballs from the mixture.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
4. Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. drain.
6. Serve spaghetti with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
