Honey Garlic Ribs
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds pork belly
1 cup honey
5 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 black pepper 2 teaspoons
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Chopped green onions, for garnish
Honey Garlic Ribs
Preparation
1. Whisk honey in a bowl. , minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper.
2. Place the ribs in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them. Make sure it is well covered. Marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
4. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake the ribs for 1 hour.
5. Remove the foil, increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and bake for a further 15-20 minutes, or until the ribs are golden brown and sticky.
6. Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Pour this slurry into the remaining sauce in the baking dish and heat over medium heat. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
7. Pour the rich sauce over the ribs and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
