Asian Style Pot Roast
Prepare:
1. In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, half of the chopped garlic and ginger. Add the ground beef and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
2. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium heat. Fry the marinated beef until golden brown on both sides.
3. Cover the pot and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for 3 to 4 hours or until beef is tender and easily falls apart with a fork.
4. For the mashed potatoes: Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add cream, butter, remaining garlic, salt, and pepper to taste. Puree until a smooth and creamy mixture forms.
5. Boil the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
6. Serve pot roast with a side of creamy garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Garnish with sesame seeds.
