Banana Cookies
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Add the Bananas:
- Mix in the mashed bananas until the mixture is smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips or chopped walnuts if desired.
- Scoop and Bake:
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The cookies should still be soft in the center.
- Cool and Enjoy:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
