Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Sauté until golden brown and fully cooked (8–10 minutes). Remove from skillet and set aside.

  1. In the same skillet, combine bourbon, soy sauce, chicken broth, ketchup, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and ground ginger. Stir well.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens (about 2 minutes).

3. Cook the Broccoli:

  1. Steam broccoli in a separate pan or microwave until tender but crisp (about 4–5 minutes).
  2. Toss with sesame oil for added flavor (optional).

4. Combine and Serve:

  1. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
  2. Add the steamed broccoli and gently toss.
  3. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
