CAJUN SHRIMP AND STEAK ALFREDO PASTA
Instructions:
-
Season the Shrimp & Steak:
In a small bowl, mix the Cajun seasoning ingredients. Use about 1 tbsp to coat the shrimp and another tbsp to coat the steak strips. Save any remaining seasoning for the sauce or garnish.
-
Cook the Steak:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tbsp olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned steak strips. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown (medium rare). Remove and set aside.
-
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp olive oil. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside with the steak.
- Prepare the Pasta:Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
-
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In the skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches desired consistency.Add more Cajun seasoning to the sauce if you want extra spice.
-
Combine and Serve:
Add the cooked pasta, shrimp, and steak to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to combine, coating everything in the sauce.Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.
