Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook fettuccine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest. Set aside.
- Season and Cook the Steak:
- Season the steak slices with 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
- Season and Cook the Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, add another 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Season shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside with the steak.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Slowly add the heavy cream, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add Cajun seasoning, and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Thin the sauce with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Combine and Serve:
- Toss the cooked pasta in the Alfredo sauce until well-coated.
- Top with the cooked steak and shrimp.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
