Cajun Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine noodles
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 (optional)
Cajun Shrimp Pasta
Methods:
1. Cook pasta until al dente according to package directions, drain and set aside.
2. Season the shrimp with 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning.
3. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and fry until pink and cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
4. Add onions and garlic to the same pot and sauté until onions are translucent, about 2 minutes.
5. Add cream, chicken broth, remaining Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Add Parmesan and stir until melted and smooth.
7. Return the shrimp to the pot and add the cooked pasta. Mix everything until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
8. Serve with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired.
