Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

– 8 ounces penne pasta
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1/2 pound andouille sausage, sliced ​​
– 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 1 bell pepper, cubed
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 cup cream
– 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
– For garnish Chopped fresh parsley

Preparation:

1. Pack the instructions to cook the pasta al dente accordingly. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and fry until brown. Remove and set aside.
3. Add shrimp to the same frying pan and fry until pink. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
4. Add peppers, onions, and garlic to the pot and sauté until vegetables are tender.
5. Stir in cream and Cajun seasoning and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Return sausage and shrimp to pot. Add the cooked pasta, stir and heat through.
7. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
