Cajun Shrimp and Steak Alfredo Pasta
Instructions
-
Prepare the Cajun Seasoning:
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
-
Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
Season and Cook the Steak:
- Season the steak slices with half of the Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the steak and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
-
Season and Cook the Shrimp:
- Season the shrimp with the remaining Cajun seasoning.
- In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter and cook the shrimp for about 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
-
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Combine and Serve:
- Add the cooked pasta, steak, and shrimp back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
