Introduction

Caramel Walnut Cake is a decadent dessert with layers of moist cake infused with caramel flavors, topped with a rich caramel frosting and crunchy walnuts. Perfect for celebrations or as an indulgent treat, this cake combines the nuttiness of walnuts with the sweetness of caramel in every bite.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 2 1/2 cups (315g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups (350g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce

For the Frosting:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups (500g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) caramel sauce
  • 2–3 tbsp heavy cream (as needed)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup (120g) walnuts, toasted
  • Additional caramel sauce for drizzling
