Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 (10.75 oz) can of condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 (16 oz.) package of frozen fries
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced scallions, pickles, ketchup, mustard
Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) Preheat to °C). ). Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until cooked through, breaking it up with a spatula.
3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot with the cooked beef. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until onions are soft.
4. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and remove the pan from the heat.
5. Spread the condensed cheddar cheese soup evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
6. Layer the cooked ground meat mixture on top of the soup layer.
7. Spread the frozen fries in a single layer over the ground meat mixture.
8. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the fries.
9. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted, bubbly, and french fries are crispy.
11. Let casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
12. Serve warm and garnish with toppings, if desired.
