Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let the beef mixture cool slightly.
- Once the beef mixture is slightly cooled, add the shredded cheese and mix until evenly combined.
Step 2: Assemble the Egg Rolls
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape (one corner pointing toward you).
- Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the beef and cheese mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Use a little water on the final corner to seal the wrapper.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Step 3: Fry the Egg Rolls
- In a deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place a few egg rolls at a time in the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 4: Serve
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch, spicy mayo, or sweet chili sauce.
