Cheesy Potato Balls
Instructions
- Prepare the Potato Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, green onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
- Shape the Balls: Take about a tablespoon of the potato mixture and roll it into a ball with your hands. Repeat until you’ve used up all the mixture.
-
Coat the Balls:
- Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow bowls.
- Roll each potato ball in the flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs. Make sure each ball is fully coated.
-
Fry the Balls:
- Heat oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C).
- Fry the potato balls in batches until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides (about 2-3 minutes per batch).
- Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve: Serve hot with ketchup, sour cream, or a dipping sauce of your choice.
Enjoy your cheesy potato balls!
