Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails
Instructions:
- Prepare the Lobster Tails:
- Preheat your oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut down the top of each lobster shell to the tail, and gently pull the meat out, placing it on top of the shell. This makes for easier broiling and an elegant presentation.
- Season the lobster meat with salt and pepper.
- Sear the Lobster Tails:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and sizzling.
- Place the lobster tails meat-side down and sear for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden. Remove the lobster tails from the skillet and place them on the prepared baking sheet, meat-side up.
- Broil the Lobster Tails:
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and broil the lobster tails for 5-6 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Be careful not to overcook. Remove from the oven.
- Prepare the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet over medium heat, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and lemon zest, simmering for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Serve the Lobster Tails:
- Spoon the creamy garlic butter sauce over the broiled lobster tails.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Tips:
- Be careful not to overcook the lobster, as it can become tough. The meat should be opaque and firm.
- This dish pairs wonderfully with a side of pasta, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
