Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Fries
  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut and Soak: Slice the potatoes into thin fries and soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Season and Bake: Drain, pat dry, and toss the fries in olive oil and salt. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley for extra flavor.
Step 2: Caramelize the Onions
  1. Cook the Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil and the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10-15 minutes until they’re soft and golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Steak
  1. Season and Sear: Season the steak generously with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed and sear the steak over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  2. Rest: Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and adjust seasonings to taste.

  1. Place the steak on a plate and top with caramelized onions.
  2. Add a serving of fries on the side and garnish with chopped parsley.
  3. Serve with a small bowl of aioli for dipping.
