Ground Beef Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of mushroom soup condensate
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 package wide egg noodles (about 6 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Options: chopped parsley for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish or casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.
    Cook the pasta: Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
    Brown ground meat: In a large skillet, brown ground meat over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Break it up with a spoon halfway through. Remove excess fat from the pan.
    Mix ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked ground beef, cream of mushroom soup condensate, sour cream, and cooked egg noodles. Season with salt and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
    Assemble the casserole. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish, distributing it evenly. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly over the casserole.
    Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through. Serves
    : When the casserole is finished baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
