Hearty Poor Man’s Husband Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.75 ounces) cream of mushroom soup condensate
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 package (8 ounces) egg noodles, cooked according to package
  • instructions , drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips

Hearty Poor Man’s Husband Casserole

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and make a 9 x 13-in. Lightly oil a baking dish.
In a frying pan over medium heat, fry the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is brown and the onion is soft. We will shed excess fat.
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup condensate, sour cream, cooked egg noodles, and grated cheddar cheese until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Scatter crushed potato chips over the casserole.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the chips are golden brown.
Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.
