Honey Garlic Ribs
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the ribs generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder on both sides.
- Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil, sealing tightly to lock in moisture.
- Bake the Ribs:
- Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2.5-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bone.
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In a medium saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup (if using), and black pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until it thickens slightly (about 5-8 minutes). If needed, add a bit of water to reach your desired consistency.
- Glaze the Ribs:
- Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the foil and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Brush the honey garlic sauce generously over both sides of the ribs.
- Broil:
- Preheat your broiler to high.
- Broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes, just until the sauce begins to caramelize and get sticky. Watch closely to prevent burning.
- Serve:
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then slice them into individual ribs and serve hot.
Tips:
- For a deeper flavor, marinate the ribs in the honey garlic sauce for a few hours before cooking.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for a nice finish.
