King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish

Ingredients:

For the Danish: 1 package of
King’s Hawaiian Rolls (12 rolls, cut in half horizontally)
16 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup
granulated sugar
Vanilla extract 1 tsp.
2 eggs
For the pineapple glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional:
Toasted coconut flakes for garnish

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) Preheat. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Carefully cut the entire package of
Kings Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally so that the top and bottom are all connected. Place bottom half in prepared baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, mix softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
Spread the cheesecake mix evenly over the bottom layer of the Hawaiian rolls in the baking dish.
Place the top half of the roll on the cheesecake base and press lightly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheesecake is set and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden.
While the Danish pastries are baking, stir the powdered sugar, pineapple juice and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
As soon as the pastries are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately pour the pineapple glaze over them. If desired, sprinkle toasted coconut flakes on top to add a tropical touch.
