Mouthwatering Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the Meat Sauce:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef, stirring until well combined. Let simmer on low heat while you prepare the other layers.
- Make the Creamy Cheese Mixture:
- In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth and well-blended.
- Assemble the Casserole:
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
- Spread half of the creamy cheese mixture over the ravioli.
- Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers: meat sauce, ravioli, creamy cheese mixture, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake:
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden on top.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Tips:
- Use sausage instead of ground beef for extra flavor, or mix both!
- For a touch of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
