Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Meat Sauce:
    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
    • Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef, stirring until well combined. Let simmer on low heat while you prepare the other layers.
  3. Make the Creamy Cheese Mixture:
    • In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth and well-blended.
  4. Assemble the Casserole:
    • Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
    • Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
    • Spread half of the creamy cheese mixture over the ravioli.
    • Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese.
    • Repeat the layers: meat sauce, ravioli, creamy cheese mixture, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden on top.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Tips:

  • Use sausage instead of ground beef for extra flavor, or mix both!
  • For a touch of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meat sauce.
