Million Dollar Spaghetti Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound spaghetti noodles
1 pound Italian sausage
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
48 ounces marinara sauce (2-24 ounce jar)
15 ounces ricotta cheese
large 1 egg
8 ounces cream cheese (soft)
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
Million Dollar Spaghetti Recipe
Directions:
Spaghetti noodles with salt according to package directions Boil in a large pot until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, combine Italian sausage, ground beef, and onion. Cook until the meat is no longer pink and the onions are soft. Drain excess oil.
Add marinara sauce to skillet and stir. Set aside.
Combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, and eggs in a medium bowl.
Pour 1 cup of meat sauce into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Layer half the spaghetti noodles, half the meat mixture, half the ricotta mixture, and half the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layering with the remaining half of the ingredients.
Bake for 30 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is bubbling to the edges of the dish. Bake for 2 to 3 minutes, if necessary, to brown the top of the cheese.
