Instructions

1. Prepare the Pork Chops

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a wire rack over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then rub both sides with olive oil.

2. Season with the Dry Rub

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Generously rub the seasoning mix onto both sides of each pork chop, pressing it in to create a flavorful crust.

3. Bake the Pork Chops

  1. Place the pork chops on the wire rack. Brush a thin layer of BBQ sauce over each chop.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

4. Broil for Caramelization

  1. Turn on the broiler for the last 3-5 minutes to caramelize the BBQ sauce and get a nice, sticky glaze on top. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  2. Remove from the oven and let the chops rest for a few minutes.

5. Serve

  • Brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired, and serve hot with your favorite sides!
