Oven-Baked BBQ Pork Chops
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pork Chops
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a wire rack over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
- Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then rub both sides with olive oil.
2. Season with the Dry Rub
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- Generously rub the seasoning mix onto both sides of each pork chop, pressing it in to create a flavorful crust.
3. Bake the Pork Chops
- Place the pork chops on the wire rack. Brush a thin layer of BBQ sauce over each chop.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
4. Broil for Caramelization
- Turn on the broiler for the last 3-5 minutes to caramelize the BBQ sauce and get a nice, sticky glaze on top. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
- Remove from the oven and let the chops rest for a few minutes.
5. Serve
- Brush with additional BBQ sauce if desired, and serve hot with your favorite sides!
