Peach Pretzel Jello Salad
Ingredients:
For the pretzel crust:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
For the peach layer:
- 1 package peach flavored gelatin ( 6 oz)
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cups diced fresh peaches
For the cream cheese layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ( 8 oz) container frozen whipped cream, thawed
Peach Pretzel Jello Salad
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar for the pretzel shell.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Bake the base in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Dissolve peach-flavored gelatin in a large mixing bowl over boiling water.
- Stir in cold water and diced peaches.
- Pour peach mixture over cooled pretzel dough.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
- In a separate mixing bowl, mix softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the whipped topping until everything is well mixed.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the set peach layer.
- Refrigerate for an additional 2 hours or until completely set.
- Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.
