Pepper Steak Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 pounds beefsteak (flank, sirloin or shoulder), thinly sliced
– 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced (mixed green and red for color)
– Onion (large) 1 clove, thinly sliced
– 3 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 2 garlic cloves, chopped
– 1 teaspoon grated ginger
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 tablespoon Mix one tablespoon of cornstarch with two tablespoons of water
Pepper Steak Stir-Fry
Preparation:
1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pot over high heat. Add the beef slices and lightly fry on both sides until browned, but not completely cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same frying pan, add the remaining oil and sauté the onions and peppers until softened.
3. Add garlic and ginger to the pot and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Return the beef to the pot. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
5. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pot, stir, and simmer until the sauce thickens and is cooked through.
6. Season with salt and pepper. Please enjoy warm.
