Directions:

Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the batter: Combine flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt, and whole can of crushed pineapple (including juice) in a large bowl. Mix well.

Baking: Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Make the frosting: While the cake is baking, beat together the butter, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar until the frosting is creamy and fluffy.

Frost the cake: Once the cake has cooled slightly (but is still warm), spread the cream cheese frosting evenly on top. Garnish with chopped nuts or coconut flakes, if desired. Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy the tropical flavors.
