Savory Meat Lovers Pizza Casserole
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pasta, cooked and drained
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional) )
Savory Meat Lovers Pizza Casserole
Directions:
Preheat oven to ~375°F (190°C). Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large frying pan over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Excrete excess fat.
Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and chopped garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
Add pepperoni slices and marinara sauce and mix. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat and vegetable mixture, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Distribute it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
