Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup Butter
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Potatoes 3 pounds (sliced about 1/8 inch thick)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Sauce
To make the sauce, melt the butter, onion, and garlic over medium heat. Cook until tender, about 3 minutes Add flour and cook for 1-2 hours
Reduce heat to medium-low. Mix milk and stock. Add a little at a time and stir until it thickens. The mixture will be very thick, gradually add a little liquid and stir until smooth.
Once all liquids have been added, bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add salt and pepper, stir and cook for 1 minute.
Assembly
Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place 1/3 of the potatoes on the bottom and season with salt and pepper. Pour 1/3 of the cream sauce over it. Repeat
layers and finish with cream sauce. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove lid and bake for another 35-45 minutes, until potatoes are golden and tender. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
