Spaghetti Tacos
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces spaghetti (gluten-free if desired)
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- Taco Seasoning 2 tablespoons
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
- 1 can (4 oz.) diced green chiles
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce (gluten-free or gluten-free (
- 1 cup grated cheese (such as cheddar and/or Monterey Jack, mozzarella)
- Season with salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons cilantro (optional)
Spaghetti Tacos
Directions:
- 1 Start cooking the spaghetti by following the instructions on the package.
2. In a large pot, sauté the ground beef and chop the onion. Remove excess fat.
3. Add the minced garlic and taco seasoning to the pot. Stir well and cook until fragrant, usually about 1 minute.
4. Add the diced tomatoes, diced green chiles, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and soy sauce (if using). Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes.
5. Turn off the stove and add the grated cheese to the pot. Stir until the cheese is melted and incorporated into the sauce.
6. Season with salt and pepper. Then add the cooked and drained spaghetti and chopped cilantro (if using). Mix everything.
7. Enjoy your spaghetti tacos!
Options:
• For extra heat, add 1 diced jalapeño with the onion.
• For extra flavor, add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the garlic.
• For more protein and texture, add 1 can (14.5 ounces) of washed and drained black beans.
• For a creamier version, add 4 ounces of crème fraîche, cream cheese, or heavy cream to the grated cheese.
• Serve spaghetti tacos with your favorite taco toppings, such as diced tomatoes, avocado slices, heavy cream, and shredded lettuce.
