Spicy Sausage Beer Cheese Dip
Ingredients
1 pound hot sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup onion, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup beer (lager or ale)
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onion, for garnish
Spicy Sausage Beer Cheese Dip
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the spicy sausage and cook, crumbling with a spoon, until browned.
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot. Cook and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
Pour in the beer and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes to evaporate the alcohol.
Reduce heat and add cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
Gradually add grated Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses, stirring constantly until completely melted and combined.
Add smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together.
Pour dip into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.
Serve warm for dipping pretzels, bread, or vegetables.
