Steak & Shrimp Pasta
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside. - Prepare the Steak & Shrimp
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Season the steak pieces with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add them to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and shrimp. Cook for 2 minutes per side or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
- Make the Sauce
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of the reserved pasta water.
- Combine Everything
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add the steak and shrimp back into the skillet, mixing gently to combine.
- Let everything heat through for about 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Serve
- Transfer the pasta to serving plates or a large dish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
