Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Steak:
- Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the steaks and cook for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet, cover them with foil, and set aside to rest while you prepare the sauce.
2. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add 2 tbsp butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef or chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and Dijon mustard (if using). Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce begins to thicken, about 3-5 minutes.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Serve:
- Pour the garlic cream sauce over the steaks and garnish with fresh parsley or chives.
This Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce is savory and indulgent—the perfect choice for a special dinner at home. Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables to complete the meal. Enjoy!
